Company Overview

CFTS is a Uganda-based ICT infrastructure, hosting, and support company. The business from which CFTS developed has operated in Uganda since 1994, helping organisations design, build, protect, recover, and operate technology systems in real-world conditions.

We specialise in practical, bespoke ICT infrastructure: systems designed around the client’s environment, responsibilities, risks, and operational needs rather than forced into a standard template.

Our work crosses physical and virtual infrastructure. Networks, technical power, cooling, servers, storage, hosting, connectivity, security, backup, recovery, documentation, and support are treated as connected parts of the same operating environment.

How We Work

Our approach is straightforward:

  • understand the requirement before choosing the product
  • look at the system and its dependencies as a whole
  • account for power, cooling, network, data, security, backup, support, and people
  • define responsibilities and service boundaries clearly
  • document what is built and how it should be supported
  • keep engineers involved who understand how the pieces fit together

This does not mean every client needs a complex or bespoke platform. It means the design should fit the actual requirement, remain understandable, and be supportable throughout its working life.

Who We Work With

CFTS supports organisations ranging from local businesses and civil-society organisations to international companies, NGOs, and diplomatic missions.

Requirements vary in size, complexity, and sensitivity, but the approach remains the same: understand the operating environment, define responsibilities clearly, and build systems that can be maintained and supported over time.

Where We Are Now

CFTS works across infrastructure design, hosted, cloud, and edge services, server and storage platforms, backup and recovery, structured cabling, technical power, security, VoIP, connectivity, and managed support.

Much of this work is shaped by operating conditions in Uganda and across East Africa. Power, heat, connectivity, site access, logistics, component quality, and support availability are not secondary considerations. They are part of the design from the beginning.

CFTS also develops and operates selected platforms and internal tools where greater control, integration, or supportability provides a practical benefit. We use established products where they fit and develop our own capabilities where standard options create unnecessary limits or weak service boundaries.

The focus remains consistent: build systems that can be understood, maintained, recovered, and supported over time.
